WORLD'S FINEST #3 WAS A TREAT TO WORK ON AS I HAVE WANTED TO WORK WITH PENCILER, JAMAL IGLE FOR SOME TIME. IT WAS ONLY SIX PAGES OF THE ISSUE BUT I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS. EXCELLENT COLOR JOB BY HI-FI. HERE IS A NICE SPASH TO END 2009 BLOGGING!

I am really looking forward to each of these shows and having new projects to talk with fans about!!

arkham reborn #2 preview

the blog at dccomics.com has a preview of Arkham Reborn #2. Three of the interior pages on the preview are inked by myself. Here is one of them. Clayface vomiting gets the action started in this one. It's gotta be a good issue...

Worlds Finest #3

I have two books coming out in Dec! I pitched in on both and cant wait to see them on the stands. Worlds Finest #3 over Jamal Igle includes an amazing double page spread!! You have to see this one to believe it, Jamal knocked it waaaaaayy outta the park! I also pitched in on Arkham Reborn #2 that comes out in Nov as well as #3 out on the same day as Worlds Finest. ARKHAM REBORN #2

I GOT TO WORK WITH JEREMY HAUN FOR THE FIRST TIME ON A BATMAN MINI SERIES CALLED ARKHAM REBORN. I INKED 14 OF THE 22 PAGES FOR ISSUE #2 WHICH HITS STORES ON 11/25. THIS WAS A REALLY FUN ISSUE TO WORK ON AND IT FEATURES A VARIETY OF BAT-VILLIANS LIKE MR. FREEZE, CLAYFACE AND KILLER CROC. CHECK IT OUT AND LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THOUGHT!

BALTIMORE COMIC CON

FOR ANYONE ATTENDING THE BALTIMORE COMIC CON, I WILL BE IN ARTISTS ALLEY AT TABLE 142. BATMAN#690

I inked half of Batman #690 which hits stores today! I can't begin to express how happy I am to see my name on the cover of this title! Definitely my boyhood dream to work on this book so I am savoring the moment. dcublog.com has a preview that includes three of the pages I inked if you want to check it out!

BATMAN STREETS OF GOTHAM 3

HERE IS A PAGE I INKED OVER GEORGES JEANTY ON BATMAN STREETS OF GOTHAM #3. THIS IS THE BACK UP STORY FEATURING MANHUNTER. THIS WAS A FUN STRIP TO WORK ON EVEN THOUGH IT WAS ONLY FIVE PAGES. NEXT UP IS BATMAN #690 OVER MARK BAGLEY. THAT WILL BE OUT ON SEPT 9TH AND IS WITHOUT A DOUBT THE HIGHLIGHT OF MY CAREER GETTING TO WORK ON THE BATMAN TITLE!

FCA:Escape #3

Here is a page from FCA:Escape #3 that I inked over Neil Edwards. This issue was a lot of fun to work on and is a very unusual trippy stotyline. I am looking forward to reading the trade and making sense of it all! Let me know what you think if you pick it up!

WELL, IT HAS BEEN A WEIRD YEAR TO SAY THE LEAST IN TERMS OF INKING.  I HAVE BEEN DOING PITCH IN'S ON TITANS #12, AND 14, JLA#34 AND FCA:ESCAPE #2 AND 3.  SO NOTHING STEADY BUT  I POP UP HERE AND THERE.  ESCAPE #3 COMES OUT NEXT MONTH AND LOOKS AMAZING!  I INKED NEIL EDWARDS ON THAT ISSUE AND I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE WAY IT TURNED OUT.  HERE IS A PAGE FROM JLA IN THE MEANTIME.

TITANS #12

Well, I feel silly having told some fans at the Boston Comic Con to look out for this issue because my work went uncredited.  I pitched in a couple of pages to Titans #12, so here is a look at the uncolored inks.  Will upload image as soon as internal blogger errors cease...okay, that doesn't seem to be happening.  Maybe it's the images?!

I PROMISE THAT WE DID NOT PLAN TO WEAR MATCHING GREY! THIS IS A SHOT FROM SUNDAY'S SIGNING AT THE DC BOOTH THAT I DID WITH JIM CALAFIORE. JIM AND I WORKED TOGETHER FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS AT DC SO WE WERE SIGNING GOTHAM UNDERGROUND, BATGIRL, BATMAN AND THE OUTSIDERS AND COUNTDOWN. WHO KNOWS, MAYBE WILL WORK ON MORE PROJECTS IN THE FUTURE?!

Alright, a few adjustments have been made and this is what my banner should look like at the nyc comicon on Feb 6-8!  If you see this in artists alley please stop by and say hello!  I will be there as well as a few other spots signing, selling prints, original art and doing commissions!  Should be a great show as it has gotten better with each year!   More info as the show draws closer...

Since this blog deals with my personal life and profession, here is a little known fact...  I used to be a pro wrestler and after wrestling Andre the Giant I got this shot of me shaking his enormous hand.  Oh yeah, totally untrue.  Just goes to show that you cant trust any images you see anymore.  A friend of mine, Kinchi, produced this for me as well as the banner you see on the left that should actually be in scale to the image.  This image will be at my booth at the nyc comic-con in Feb., so stop by if you are at the con!  Happy new year!!
